Hunterian Museum
The Egyptian mummies are probably the most popular attractions here, and there are a number of hands-on exhibits too that little hands will like to push, prod and spin. Other items on display include dinosaur remains, and oddities like a meteorite that fell on Glasgow in the early 1800s. There's a lift to the main museum floor, and an extra lift can take prams and wheelchairs to the upper gallery. The shop on the ground floor has a selection of toys and books, and the University Visitor Centre cafe nearby is good for light meals and snacks. The Museum organise regular art/craft classes and activities in school holidays.
The Hunterian Museum main hall is currently closed to the public to allow for the installation of a new roof but other areas of the Museum are open.
