The Hampden Experience
Opened in 2001 at Hampden Park, this was the world's first national football museum. Hampden itself opened in 1903 and is the oldest continuously-used international ground in the world. The museum contains a vast collection of football memorabilia, including the world's oldest international cap and match ticket. Visitors can experience the famous Hampden roar of the 1930s, when crowds of more than 140,000 packed the stadium. You can also see the world's oldest football trophy, the Scottish Football Association Challenge Cup from 1873, and part of the original Hampden dressing room.
